It is just a few days ago, new Spark Linux Tablet was unveiled. Now we have some strong information about its launch date and more features as well.

The Spark tablet runs Plasma Active, an open-source OS that’s based on Linux, peppered with elements of Qt which has been supported by the Mer project, an off-shoot of MeeGo.
The 7-inch device is powered by 1GHz AMLogic ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 512MB RAM, 4 GB of internal memory and it is also teamed up with Mali GPU. It has 7” capacitive (16×9) multi-touch screen with 800 x 480 resolutions.
As its image reveals above the device got two mini USB connections, a microSD card slot for expansion and what looks like a mini HDMI port as well. Other features include 1.3MP front-facing camera, 3.5mm audio jack and 802.11b/g WiFi. Models with 3G and GPS will be manufactured later.
The Spark tablet initially said to shipping starting in Europe, and after that will be open up to global customers. The new tablet is expected to start shipping in May, with pre-ordering starting next week. It will only cost €200 or around $265. We’ll keep you update when it will be available.
